(2) Surveying, inspecting, and preparing plans and information on road material sources and initial road conditions. (3) Implementing highway maintenance, safety, and small-scale construction projects. (4) Maintaining, preventing, adjusting, and lightly repairing machinery, vehicles, tools, and equipment for highway construction and maintenance work under responsibility. (5) Conducting public participation activities in areas with highway construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance projects. (6) Inspecting, monitoring, and enforcing highway laws as assigned. (7) Processing permit applications under highway laws as assigned. (8) Operating mobile vehicle weigh stations. (9) Supporting and cooperating with the province and other agencies. (10) Collaborating with or supporting the operations of other relevant agencies or as assigned.
